University & Vocational Training Scholarships

Commencing in 2017, Reasonable Cause will be offering one university and one vocational training scholarship each year to assist disadvantaged young adult Cambodians to pursue their career gaols and assist in breaking the cycle of poverty.

2017 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Waew

Despite horrific burn injuries sustained as a child, Waew is now a young woman focusing on her skills and abilities. With financial assistance from a Reasonable Cause University Scholarship, Waew is now studying for a Bachelor of International Relations at university in Phnom Penh. She is a very smart, happy and friendly person who strives to succeed and has the world at her feet.

2017 Reasonable Cause Vocational Training Scholarship Winner – Khlem 

Khlem is a young man whose parents both passed away some years ago. He was raised and educated through his school years with assistance from  Sunrise Cambodia. On leaving school he started working at Mday Thom restaurant in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It was there that Khlem developed the ambition to become a chef. With financial assistance from a Reasonable Cause Vocational Training Scholarship, Khlem is now living his dream and training to be a chef.
